Nothing Stopped Sophie: The Story of Unshakable Mathematician Sophie Germain by Cheryl Bardoe

4.0

Give me ALL the picture book biographies about women mathematicians. This was a great, mellow way to introduce the history of women’s rights (and lack thereof) to my first grade students. Some of the math topics probably went over their heads, but it gave them a look into history and hopefully helped it seem natural that women can be just as good at math as men.
