I've admittedly always been curious about this series but reluctant to start it based on hearing a mixed bag of opinions about it. Still, I want to give the series a shot since Yana Toboso is the brain behind Twisted Wonderland, and I want to understand how far her writing has come in the time since she began Black Butler to her eventual work on my favorite mobile game. And so far, this isn't a bad introduction! I think it's very engaging and I can absolutely understand why it got so much attention at the time of its initial release!
