There’s something Lorlen said I had to tell you.

This is a debut novel and does a pretty good job of what it is. It's certainly not high fantasy, nor YA, but feels somewhere just above cosy fantasy. There are stakes, but not that high, and the course of this book would be the first 100 pages of an epic fantasy. Good change of pace for me I think! I'll keep reading this series.
