I think this is the first time that I was reading a YA book and not enjoying it much because I wasn’t the intended audience. Like I really didn’t care about all the relationship drama between the characters, and I felt like it took up too much of the book. I did like the fantasy aspects and the lore, but the characters didn’t do it for me and the modern setting took me out of the story.
It definitely wasn’t the book I was expecting, but it was not for me
