Though I enjoyed the philosophical and reflective nature of the book, it just wasn't for me.
The writing was truly beautiful, and some passages really made me stop in my tracks and think of the connectedness of humanity and our reliance on each other.
I would have loved to get to know some characters more, but I guess that wasn't really the point of the book.I did love the last chapter though and how you find out the fisherman is safe through the typhoon.
