My first fantasy romance. I enjoyed the ride, wholst reading and had fun with the world of scary fairies compared to mortals on the otherside if the wall. I enjoy the family and friendship dynamics amongst the characters. There were moments of tension, fun, bad/ stupid decisions, fighting for a better world. A couple of eye roll moments, but when I thought the story was slowing it changed. Three trials for our protagonist and a beauty and beast retelling, which if those are your buzz words you will probably have fun. As a mix of Fantasy Romance it was a bit of fun, but easily able to pull apart the romance and the fantasy world focusing on them individually. I prefer alot more communication in my romance and stronger world building in my fantasy.
