Muneera and the Moon by Sonia Sulaiman
3.0
I appreciate what this collection is doing and Sulaiman is off to a great start of her writing career. The style of the writing and the religious content in the later stories didn’t do it for me, but I enjoyed learning about Palestinian folklore through this collection.
Definitely check this one out for the folklore. It’s an uneven collection, but the folklore and how Sulaiman explores it through various modes of speculative fiction is worth it.
Support Palestinian authors and indie authors as well! And of course, as always, educate yourself and free Palestine.
