Hope: A Tragedy by Shalom Auslander
4.0
I received this book through a Goodreads Giveaway (thank you Riverhead Books) in exchange for a fair review.
Solomon Kugel moves his family from NYC to a farmhouse in the country where -alas!- there is an arsonist on the loose burning down farmhouses in the area. Cue the neurotics.
To make matters worse, Kugel has a nosy tenant, a mother who spreads guilt and suffering, and Anne Frank living in his attic. Completely absurd and ridiculously smart. Well done Shalom Auslander!
