The Ivy Lessons by J. Lerman, Suzy K. Quinn
4.0
Left wanting more
Sophia is used to having her life on the backburner. Her mom died leaving her to take care of herself and her father. He has married someone new and they have had a child but it seems like neither wants to take care of him or the house. It's all left to Sophia to do. Very cinderellaish. She auditions for an acting college and gets in. There she meets the movie star and owner of the acting college, Marc Blackstone. Marc is a control freak and very reclusive. From the start there is something electrical between Sophia and Marc. They end up together in all sorts of situations that he calls teaching moments where he tries to push Sophia's boundaries. This leads to a sexual relationship that they both know will lead to trouble for them. Marc has different sexual likes that Sophia and introduces them to her right off the bat. They fall for each other very quickly. They soon realize that this is going to be hard for both of them and their lives are going to change. The end of the book feels rushed like the authors just stopped.
Overall I enjoyed this book. They were some mistakes and some sentences didn't make sense, but it was a fast and good read!
