For the Love of Whiskey by Melissa Foster

5.0

“…Baby, you once asked me what it was like to know exactly who I was and what I wanted to do with my life. I’ve been trying to figure out an answer for you, but the thing is, I might have known who I was before we met, but now that I know what it’s like to love you. I honestly don’t know who I’d be without you by my side, and I don’t want to ever find out.”

This is the second book in The Whiskeys: Dark Knights at Redemption Ranch series. I think reading the prequel to this book, Freeing Sully, made the book better. It really gives you an understanding of how strong and brave Sully was to escape the compound. We briefly met Sully in her sister’s book, Then Came Love, and I was really looking forward to her book.
After escaping the compound, Sully had to learn to cope in the real world. I loved watching her discover herself at Redemption Ranch and find her purpose in life. Also seeing her reunite with her sister was wonderful. Cowboy was so patient and understanding of Sully. I loved watching their relationship grow and he was the perfect man for her.
“You’re not only the air I breathe. You have become the biggest and best parts of me. You’re my heart and soul…”

This was another amazing book by Ms. Foster. I can never get enough of her books. Once I start reading one of them, I can’t put it down and I never want it to end. I cannot wait for Sasha’s book which is the next book in the series.
I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
