I did enjoy this book more during the second read through (or listen through in this case). Having already read the entire series I was able to catch all the hints and foreshadowing that went over my head last time, and I enjoyed the continuity. Also, I didn't mind Chaol during my first read and thought that he became a jerk later on, but as it turns out, he was always an ass!
