all in all this is a strong collection of short stories. some stood out to me more than others. some were cool ideas but may have been better suited for a longer-form. all offered important commentary on the black experience and the inherent horror elements of being black in america.

my favorites:

  • pressure by ezra claytan daniels
  • your happy place by terence taylor
  • hide & seek by p. djeli clark
