1Q84: Book Three by Haruki Murakami

4.0

Re-read.

Final part of my favourite book my Murakami. It’s not as strong as books 1 and 2. Adds a new main character storyline from books 1 and 2 which breaks the back and forth flow I liked from the first two books. Fuka Eri is no longer relevant character in this book and I miss her character.

Overall has to be read as part of the trilogy but the weakest 3rd unfortunately.

Liked
-Wraps up the inevitable love story
-Interesting delve into Tengo history with his “Father”

Dislike
-The cult element just slips away and doesn’t really get explored further (which feels like a miss)
