Holy guacamole! This book is so intense.  This third installment of the ACOTAR series gave us a lot more political world building, which I absolutely loved. It does have a slower pace than the previous two books, and it feels like several stories in one. I can hardly believe the beginning is actually from the same book as the end. The slower pace and length gave me time to be occasionally frustrated with how the author chose to address characters and their flaws. I love Rhysand, but his self sacrificing attitude was not addressed as a flaw nearly as much as it should have been in the 700+ pages of this book (or throughout the series thus far). Nevertheless, the characters and their love for each other and their world was moving and kept me on the edge of my seat til the very end.
