Just Don't Fall by Emma St. Clair

5.0

Emma St. Clair is one of my favorite sweet romance authors for a REASON! Y’all, this newest release is the absolute best. I couldn’t stop grinning as I devoured this book from cover to cover. Just Don’t Fall is heartwarming, hilarious and highly entertaining!

Highlights:
Sweet, Clean (Closed-Door) Romance | Hockey | Workplace Romance | Fake Dating | Small Town Romance | Childhood Crush / Never Been Kissed | Cozy Fall Vibes | Heart and Humor | Superhero Nicknames

If you’re looking for the perfect fall read, start right here! I couldn’t get enough of Logan, who really stole this book for me. As the MMC, he is notorious for being a ladies’ man and egotistical maniac, but oh the layers that St. Clair unveils for him! He’s sweet, charming, and winsome. I just adored him. His pining and soft heart were so adorable.

FMC Parker is delightful, just a little on the shy side and so easily embarrassed, it makes this entire story fun. I love her bossy nature at work and enjoyed the subtle hints of unrequited love on her part plus the wholesome ability she had to see through to a person’s heart and find the goodness there. As she had never been kissed, it was rewarding to see her hold strong to her personal convictions.

These two together were a hilarious mix of fake dating, a workplace romance and well, I can’t say more without giving things away and trust me, you don’t want me to do that. In short, a definite, lighthearted must-read with flirty banter, sizzling chemistry, a tiny bit of tension and a good dose of cozy fall vibes that will leave your heart feeling warm and content.

This standalone novel is part of a series presented by various authors and my review reflects this book alone (but please note: I’m excited to read other books in this series as well!).

Content Warnings + Trigger Warnings: PG rated (non-explicit touches, kissing and making out). Toxic parental relationship (light).

*I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary ARC e-copy of this book from the author. All thoughts are my own and I was not required to post a positive review.
