“please tell me you’re not jumping out of this window right now.”

“i’m not jumping out of this window right now,” he says. then he promptly climbs up— and jumps.

~ ♡ 5/5

the writing was truly remarkable, the way tracy deonn wrote how bree was feeling in the prologue, and the way she described the emotions. made me feel like i was in brees shoes and feeling it just the same.

although some parts were hard to grasp, and words were hard to understand (thank you google translate). after twenty or so chapters i had the idea and the writing and world building made sense in my head.

now, the love triangle. i am an avid HATER of this trope. it completely turns me off, which often causes me to soft dnf. so when i started reading this book, the whole sel treated bree i was like there’s NO way this is a love triangle. alas, i was very wrong, BUT is it bad im a sel and bree advocate?

i love nick, with my whole heart and soul and i would protect that man till my last dying breathe. the way he truly is brees number one supporter (besides alice). i love the banter between sel and bree and i truly wish we got more of them together. whether it have been the soft, tender moments that transpired, or even the slight banter they had (he was a raging dick in the beginning).

regardless, i think id be happy with whoever but currently im rooting for the latter.

i wish we got more alice and william those were my favourite “side” characters. and the deaths that happened in part 4 and those plot twists?! had my gasping and sobbing both at the same time.

all in all, i will never be the same.
