I love these movies so so much & the books could not be more different. They definitely have the same overarching vibe but wow I expected way more similarities. I think if I had read this book as a kid (target audience) before the movies came out I would’ve liked it a lot actually. But alas, I am an adult & I have seen the movies many, many times so it was just alright to me. That being said, I’m glad I read it & can end my curiosity of the books here.

I do wonder where the movie story came from though. Like,, it’s SO different.
