The Most Important Thing: Uncommon Sense for the Thoughtful Investor by Howard Marks

5.0

Why I think you should read this book:
- Howard Mark wrote the best advice on risk management
- He laid the blocks of value investing perfectly, making it's an intellectual practice, rather than easy peasy win. Where's the fun in that.
- he also reminded readers few important pointers what makes all worth it such as must be rigorous and disciplined (like my Ashtanga practice) and try to eliminate the fear of looking wrong. Ego can kill us.

His writing style is more of coaxing readers to think, rather than give straight answers. I prefer this way as investing is an art and it should be a thoughtful process. In a way, he's coaxing us to contemplate more and try to think more of the unthinkable.

Anyway, I might be biased because I have a soft spot for distressed assets investment.

My good friend Iqmal recommended this book.
