Blameless by Gail Carriger

I just am loving this series so much. A steampunk comedy of manners set in an alternate Victorian London? There is so much to love. A look at reviews will show you that YMMV in terms of thinking which book is the wittiest or the funniest or the most action packed. To me, so far, they've been delightfully consistent, especially as our brave, beautiful, parasol-armed sass queen Alexia leads them all. Watching her face down everything from gossiping ninnies to religious zealots just reaffirmed my love for her as a main character. I just buy her both whacking her enemies on the head, running through the French countryside and greeting her kidnappers with absolute politeness. Yes, of course, she does all of these things.

While I was very upset with Lord Maccon, this book still managed to make me feel a wee bit bad for him too. He's just a stupid werewolf. He has too many emotions.

Overall, delightful. Can't wait to see what mess Alexia gets into next.
