This book really drew me in, I feel like I was in London during the Blitz and the years of the war. Ruby is a fledging American journalist who is sent to England to work for a weekly news magazine. She has a great deal of natural talent for writing and because she is a person who listens to people she develops really good reporting skills. Very good book.
