I read this a long time ago back when I was a teenager and I remember loving it. Listening to the audiobook as an adult was still really enjoyable but I looked at it with a slightly different lense.
I still think it's well written, and the author certainly paints a picture. I also really liked Takeos relationship with his Otori rescuer Shigeru which for me was the most heart warming part of the series
I didn't really like the main love story as I'm not partial to insta love.
I'm also quite partial to stories set in Japan and I think this aspect was executed very well
