The Bomber Mafia: A Dream, a Temptation, and the Longest Night of the Second World War by Malcolm Gladwell
3.0
A solid 3*. As a fan of Malcolm Gladwell and someone who enjoys a WWII book, I was looking forward to The Bomber Mafia.
I was disappointed. Pulling together strands about bombing during the war, the overall story is fairly interesting but the novel felt a bit rambly and wasn’t something which grabbed me. At a simple level it lacked a definitive beginning, middle and end. Perhaps it’s me and not the book. I was anticipating Gladwell’s Revionist History meets Ben McIntyre.
The production value of the audiobook is superb.
