Because She Loves Me by Mark Edwards

3.0

This book might have worked better as contemporary fiction than psychological thriller. I would have been okay with a regular and predictable read about an obsessive relationship. Instead, it tries to be twisty but ends up not making sense.

One thing I liked about this book is its portrayal of toxic relationships; from the early heady days to how all-consuming and destructive it can, and how we tend to make excuses for the ones we love despite red flags, and how it's easy to judge until we ourselves are in the situation.

Overall, an entertaining read.
