He wears glasses!!!

This book is something else and I’m not saying it in a bad way.

We meet Evelyn or Eve who has a secret identity as a popstar called Lyla. She juggles this (Hannah Montana style) with her normal life. She’s looking to create her fourth album with no inspiration.
Then we met Garrett, who is basically a workaholic collapsing at work and he’s forced to take a vacation. The catch? Eve is his ex bandmates little sister and he’s had a crush on her for a while.

And would you have it they end up in the same small town with meddling neighbors or townsfolk. What’s starts off as the neighbors or the townsfolk being in their business ends up with a fake dating trope which is so fascinating and beautiful to read. They write music together and just watching that love unfold was breathtaking.

If you wanna know why communication is important, it’s this book. Everything they went through. The growth and family dynamics. Friendships. Amazing.

The banter is gold. The connection between them. Their friendship, the way it evolved into love. I felt it. I fell in love. What this man does for her!!!! It’s hot. It’s gorgeous!!!

This book has a mini plot twist. Nice twists. The ending!!! The last few chapters I cried. Ugly happy tears. I love this book.

5/5
