Cryptid Zoo
by Gerry Griffiths
Fun idea but missed the mark
Unfortunately, this book was just poorly written. It was a classic case of writing that “tells” you rather than “shows” you what is happening. The story telling was little more than step-by-step basic descriptions of the minutia of the physical action of the story. The characters are emotionless and cardboard which made things quite anti-climatic when the zoo habitants began eating everyone. I was disappointed because the basic plot idea had merit, even if it was reminiscent of Jurassic Park.
