I did not want to read this book in the beginning. I couldn't get past the fact that the principal was forcing her students into a marriage "education" course. Like?!? Why should you care? But in the context of the book I let it slide. What really fired me up was them involving real world money... As a high school student saving up for University my mind did a "what the fuck? Why the fuck?" I was going to stop. But I forged on and honestly, this book is very cute! I loved the chemistry between the characters, but would've loved to see more of Fiona and Marcie moments, but I understand the lack of this friendship. I was surprised and kind of pleased with who Fiona ended up with!
The only real problem (besides the real world money issue) was I didn't really understand what the author meant by "big" when describing Johnny! Sometimes it was tall and then big and then "not so attractive" and then there was all the dumb cracks at his weight (the step groaning and Gabe at the end). I finally just accepted both and moved on, but I am truly curious as to how the author pictured him! If anyone wants to enlighten me, please feel free!
