This book was meh for me.  I liked the slow burn, but then it just suddenly shifted from "I'm a total gentleman and ignore the beast who forces me to be forward in stating my attraction to you" to "you're mine and lets fuck".  Some of the tension was okay and the banter made me smile, but it frequently felt a little more forced than organic.  I'd consider it an ETL, but a middle-of-the-road one; not amazing, but not terrible. The world building was interesting and seemed vast compared to others in this genre.  The ending seemed super rushed though, and not very impactful.  Like they got to the end and for all the build up, it was just a quick and explained ending that sort of tried to be epic.  I'll read book 2- it was nice to get a lot of plot and I'm interested to see where it goes.  The editing was generally good and the writing was fine. Probably won't reread this one, but I'm not mad that I read it this first time.
