Worst Soulmate Ever: Proposal by Haruta
4.5
After being somewhat let down by the first volume, this one did a lot of right. The number of sex-stuff has decreases, which offers the charaters to grow and to bond. While it felt that Shishikura was just letting it all happen in the first volume, he stood up for himself, saying that he wants the security of marriage. That though omega right have improved, marriage is truly something he wants. Then Kotani is like, I am not marrying. The thing is, it makes sense for him. He was traumatized by his parents marriage, and he worries that his relationship will end in a similair way. There was also a plot point that made me really nervous (the third party and 'making the other jealous'), but fortunately, Shishikura was like, absolutely not, and the plot fortunately didn't last long. That the guy was Kotani's brother was a surprise, but it also made kinda sense because it could be genetics that made them drawn to Shishikura to begin with. I am happy that we get to see more of Kotani's POV, how he was raised, how he wasn't planning to ever fall for Shishikura, but now they are here, and he decided that they can married after dealing with his parents. I love how they worked together to convince Kotani's parents. That Shishikura's sincerity was eventually the reason why they agreed. I love the actual proposal, the short but cute wedding, that they called each other their soulmate, because they kinda are. But they also made it work, especially in this volume. I appreciated that specifically; it was through their hard work they got married, not because they were necessarily destined to be. I bought their relationship much more in this volume, that they genuinly liked one-another and that they had good chemistry.
