A necromancer meets his fated mate when resurrecting him, and they get a second chance. I liked the world and the premise, and John and Bellamy are likeable. Both have a chaotic and sarcastic streak, but are very caring of their loved ones. Their romance is VERY insta-love, one of the most instant ever. This usually doesn't bother me but for this book, they didn't meet until 1/3 through - which makes their feelings seem under developed, fated mates or not.

But the times they had together are still quite entertaining, and they have the chemistry to make it work, though the romance could've been more. There are some good moments - John's monologue when he found Bellamy is very poignant, and generally they're sweet together. And their HEA is hard-earned amidst all the danger and shenanigans.
