Voidwalker
by S.A. MacLean
Voidwalker was so fun and I’m so glad a friend recommended it as it wouldn’t have been on my radar otherwise!
Fionamara has the power to walk between worlds after a brush with death in her childhood, and she’s such a strong female lead character, I was instantly drawn to her. Fionamara works as a smuggler and the story starts off when she’s hired to smuggle and participate in a heist!
Voidwalker has a super unique and interesting magic system, queer characters, monster romance, and a lot of character depth and growth.
A couple of parts were definitely tough to read so make sure to read the trigger warnings!
I can’t wait to read the sequel to this duology, but I also felt like the first in the duo came to a really nice conclusion and left me satisfied, so it could likely be read as a standalone as well!
Thanks so much to Orbit and NetGalley for the arc. All thoughts are mine!
