Le prince des débauchés
by Loretta Chase
I understand now why this book is an instant historical classic for so many. It was published in 1994 and apparently in advance of its time back then. It's probably the reason why it's still so good in 2022. While reading it, it reminded me of 9 Rules to Break When Romancing a Rake by Sarah MacLean.
To summarize the awesomeness of this book it only takes three words: Jessica F#cking Trent, because she deserves it all. Also of course, Lord Dain is a true opponent for our heroine. He is a beast inside and out, except for her, since day one. And I loved that about her. They are both attract to one and another, the chemistry up the charts since the very beginning.
I've read it in french but I compared some key scenes with the original edition. I could notice some changes or cuts, so I intend on rereading it someday but in english this time.
