The Gopi Diaries: Coming Home by Sudha Murty

lighthearted fast-paced

2.0

The Gopi Diaries: Coming Home by Sudha Murty is the first book in a trilogy for children.
This book is about a dog named Gopi and different scenarios in his life with the loving family that adopts him.
This was a quick read. And honestly, I found it too childish and boring. I guess that's what I get for reading a children's book as a teenager. I get why children might enjoy this book; it is written from a dog's POV which makes it all the more enjoyable for children. But it just didn't appeal to me.
Just one more thing I'd like to say here: I loved the illustrations in this book. They were absolutely gorgeous and their style was brilliant. Props to Sandhya Prabhat for that!
Overall, this was a 2-star read. It wasn't bad in any way, but I do think I would've loved it had I read it at a younger age.
