The Liz Taylor Ring by Brenda Janowitz
5.0
4.75 ⭐s for The Liz Taylor Ring. I knew going in I'd love this novel. Why?
1. Brenda Janowitz wrote it and I loved her last book.
2. It's a historical fiction novel
3. That cover pulled me in ever since I first saw it.
The novel starts out in 1978 with Lizzie Morgan and Ritchie Scheider. They have a whirlwind romance that has ups and downs for sure. The finally happens after a nine month separation that ends with Ritchie presenting Lizzie with a eleven carat diamond that looks suspiciously like Liz Taylor's ring.
A few decades later the ring resurfaces and the family comes together for the first time in years to argue over who gets it.
This novel had intrigue, mystery and family ties. I loved the disfunction in the Scheider family so much. It was comical at times.
