9yo gets lost in the Appalachian mountains after dipping off the trail to go pee and her mom and brother are too busy fighting to notice her leave. She somehow loses her sense of direction so quickly and just keeps going and going and going. Winds up in another state. Hallucinating from lack of food and water. Gets sick. Really sick. Death starts to follow her.

Not the normal energy I get from King, where I expect a supernatural horror. This is just real. Good but not great.
