As with The priory of the orange tree, I love the queer representation, the strong female characters and all the POC characters in this book. I found it more difficult to stay just as attached to this book as I did with Priory, but I still enjoyed it very much. Samantha Shannon writes everything with such beauty, I am constantly in awe of her writing. Will definitely read more of hers!
