 While I wasn't aware this book was the 4th in a series, it did read fine as a stand alone. Suen did a great job giving enough context in the story that you were able to follow along with the characters and piece together anything that may have been covered in previous books. I plan on reading books 1-3 and truly suggest anyone who loves a cozy mystery to do the same!!
