I’m really not sure where to start with this one. Maybe because it’s not...amazing? I mean, it is, but it’s also…not.

While the ending is crazy and you get all the answers and all that fun stuff, the majority of the book is camping with Harry and Hermione! Occasionally they get in a tussle here and there, but, of course, they get out each time.

Let’s do another narrowing down of the things I liked and did not.

Things I liked:
-ANSWERS AT LAST. I do like seeing the why behind so many characters’ actions. It still doesn’t redeem Snape IMO, but at least there’s a reason for his d***ish behavior. He’ll always suck in my eyes.
-Sweet, sweet Dobby. His love for Harry makes me tear up.
-Kreacher. Talk about character development! Also ironic that Sirius told Harry, “If you want to know what a man's like, take a good look at how he treats his inferiors, not his equals." AHEM…
-Mollie Weasley. She’s a badass. Enough said.
-Harry. Specifically at the end of the book. You gotta admire that bravery and sacrifice.

Things I didn’t like:
-Hermione! Kills me to say, but she was the worst in this! Moping over Ron🤢, ignoring Harry’s intuition, refusing to believe in things that they have actual evidence to, lack of signature sass and attitude, etc. etc.
-Ron, like always. Just get rid of him.
-Still Snape. Sorry, bud. Your weird love for Lily doesn’t excuse your abuse of Harry and other students for years on end
-The romance. They all felt a bit off to me, probably because we don’t really see any progression of them. Out of nowhere, they’re just like, bam! We’re together! Also, Hermione deserves way better than Ron
-The epilogue. Like, I get it. I’m happy to know what happened to all of these people I have loved for all of these years. Still felt odd and forced, though.

Despite me dragging my feet a bit while reading this, I feel such a loss knowing I am done. For many of us, these books hold a very special place in our hearts and have become like friends over the many years.

I will end with Dumbledore’s quote to Harry: “Of course it is happening inside your head, Harry, but why on earth should that mean that it is not real?”

With that validation, I will leave.
