I loved Lost in time so was delighted to find this book on NetGalley I was not disappointed. This book is a fast paced romp between time zones with a cast of characters I quickly loved and was invested in .
To set up the concept there was a bit of pseudo science which I enjoyed it was plausible but slightly tongue in cheek at the same time
The references to the Guns of Naverone film made me smile as my father was an extra in it in the 60s playing a German officer with a dreadful accent his one line being left right or it’s equivalent in German
There were some plot holes which I found slightly confusing ,the way the time travellers were able to talk the people they met into helping them for example but I quickly forgave them as the story whizzed along
The book has an exciting start and I enjoyed the experience of reading it ,it was just the sort of escapism I needed having read a lot of literary novels recently
The book ends in a way that leaves room for the possibility of sequels .
I also thought it would make a great film or tv series grab the rights if you can
I read a early copy of the book on NetGalley Uk the book is published in the Uk by Head of Zeus’s 2nd March 2023
