It’s been a minute since a book made me sit my ass down and finish it in one sitting. I cannot believe I’ve been sleeping on Jimenez and this was my first of hers, I’m an idiot!

This book is done so so so well. The banter is bantering. The feels are feeling. The vibes are vibing. Literally everything I love in a romcom. The depth of the story, ugh, CHEFS KISS. I was crying, I was laughing, I was having a damn good time.

Emma feels like she’s on an island and doesn’t know how to let anyone dock for more than a day until Justin comes along and boy howdy he is the epitome of if he wanted to he would. This man, THIS MAN! GOODBYE RIP TO ME.

Maddy is such a down ass bitch of a friend, we all need a Maddy!!! She is the perfect side character. Her love for Emma knows no bounds. And the way she helps Justin navigate Emma when she feels small 🥹 bruh. I can’t.

I will admit I’m probably bias bc I too felt like an island resident until Shane moved in and I hardcore connected with the story but damn Jimenez did the thing.

Overall: perfect. No notes.

Favorite Character: truly do not make me choose. Anyone but Amber, may her soul rot in hell ☺️
