Shizuku Mizutani is a diligent student. When she’s not in class, she’s studying. She’s not a very social student but she’s not disliked. In fact, she’s considered very dependable.

That’s why their homeroom teacher asks her to deliver homework to chronically absent, troublemaker student Haru Yoshida.

Haru has been out since he got into a fight on the first day of high school. Though his suspension ended a while ago, he’s yet to return.

Shizuku reluctantly agrees to deliver the worksheets, never expecting this meeting would change the course of her high school career.

See, Haru isn’t anything like the unstable, “monster” hrs been described to be by their classmates. He’s hotheaded, sure, but also playful and kind and, even, a little shy?

The first question he asks Shizuku is, “What’s high school like?” He’s clearly not playing hooky for a lack of interest in school.

It’s not Shizuku’s problem that Haru won’t come to school but she can’t help but wonder what it would be like if Haru did return…?

This is such a cute story!

I really appreciate the characters and the storyline so far. I always appreciate interesting and unexpected dynamics between characters — and this manga has that. There are plenty of “delinquent” characters in this story getting recast as more than their first impressions— which I really like.

Further, the playful banter between Shizuku and Haru is absolutely delightful.

I definitely recommend this one for anyone who enjoys a cute little, slice-of-life romance with some added quirkiness and lots of snark~
