Sweetbitter

Overall, I did really enjoy this book, I ripped through it in two days. It captures the world of fine dining so well and reading made me reflect on a lot of my own experiences at that point in my life. HOWEVER, I have some serious criticisms about the narrative arc being disappointedly tethered to kind of bs romanticism that has been hard for me to reconcile how great the (resto, early twenties angst of *finding urself*) writing and story are, but the romance and the putting of strong female leads against one another nearly ruined it entirely for me (@jules you can maybe skip this one you’ll get mad).
