I really enjoyed this one!! It has the perfect vibe for October.
Rae returns to her birth place after her parents move to Spain. She has a paranormal investigation channel on YouTube and also attends college in the same town. Rae meets Leon on campus and they are instantly drawn to each other. She starts investigating something she shouldn't and ends up in a WHOLE heap of trouble.
The aesthetic in this book had me hooked from the start. Spooky small town , an abandoned church and mine , strong heroine, monsters in the woods , a crazy cult, and a cocky sarcastic demon. Also the spice is smoking HOT!
The only things that stopped this from being a 5 star read is that I feel like it was a little insta love , I like a little more of a slow burn to the L word. For me it also got a little slow in the last half but I am in a book slump at the moment and finding it hard to fully concentrate on books, so it's just me not the book!
