The House of My Mother by Shari Franke

Wow. This book had me on the verge of tears so many times. As the oldest daughter, I related way too much with the strong urge to be the protector of my younger siblings, and though we never had to face anything this devastating, I know exactly how hopeless and guilty I would feel for not being able to protect them just like Shari did. This book is truly powerful, and while I would have been interested in reading more about her experiences and feelings during the vlogging time in her life, I know just how important it was to focus more on the time after that period and that part is what impacted me the most. I definitely recommend this book; it for sure has a huge cultural significance to our current world.
