It’s kind of like Twilight, but with aliens, and no romance, and period appropriate nostalgic cultural references for myself who was 8 years old in 2007. I very much enjoyed it, and as a 21 year old college dropout with a dysfunctional family, I really related to Cora. Ampersand was also great, innocent but intimidating at the same time. Very excited for the sequel!
