TROPE: Enemies to Lovers, Why Choose
TYPE: Series (The Mate Games: War Book 1)
POV: Multiple POV
MY RATING: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ / 5

I have been hearing good things about The Mate Games: War series for some time on social media, and I finally got around to checking it out. Obsession is the perfect name for this book; I already feel obsessed with this series and do not want to put it down.

Sunday is a wolf shifter who cannot shift much to the disgrace of her grandfather and pack. Kingston is her destined mate, whom she rejected, and is the cause of the hate he allows to simmer for her. Thorne is a vampire prince who seems drawn to Sunday, even though relationships between vampires and wolf shifters are forbidden. Alek is a Norse Demigod who quickly charms his way into Sunday's circle. Caleb was a priest before he was turned into a vampire, and he was tasked with teaching Sunday how to release her wolf.

I highly recommend the Audiobook, which I listened to as I read and includes different narrators for each character. Parts of the story and the banter made me laugh out loud. An excellent start to the series, Obsession is a book I will reread, making it worthy of a 5 / 5 Star rating, in my opinion.
