I was worried this book wouldn’t live up to the hype, but if you stick it through, it will. Not going to lie, it was slowwww all the way up until halfway through, and it finally started picking up then and became worth it. If you endure the world-building and slowness, you’re hit with a killer plot twist and great development in the characters and overall story-arc. Is the relationship toxic? A little bit. Do you love it anyways? Yes, you very much do. A few really spicy scenes that live up to the hype as well.
