The Art of Losing by Alice Zeniter

4.0

Enjoyable translation from a French novel of historical fiction of a French woman of Alergian descent who becomes curious about the past. The reasons why her family left Algeria are complex and the family are afraid to go back but neither are they well treated in France. I found the strory very interesting as this was a part of French history I know little about. The story is written in memoir style which made it seen like you were reading about a real person.
