Fantastic Mr. Fox
by Roald Dahl
This was a cute root-for-the-underdog story - I had heard about the movie when it came out, but this work was one of Dahl's that I never picked up as a kid.
It has a pretty basic plot - the animals outsmart the humans, who are trying to starve them out. It's honestly not that memorable, but I think kids would enjoy it enough. It's definitely not Dahl's strongest work, but it's not his worst.
