The Antidote: Happiness for People Who Can't Stand Positive Thinking by Oliver Burkeman

5.0

With a great deal of intelligent humor, this exploration of the so-called "negative side" of humanity is a goldmine for better living. The positive thinking movement is not so much dismissed, as it is shown to be only half of the equation of our humanity. Running away from the inevitability of pain and change only perpetuates a blindness to "negative" events happening regardless. You won't stop reading at the end, either because you'll immediately want to read it again, and/or moving on to the great material mentioned throughout.
