Solutions and Other Problems by Allie Brosh

challenging dark funny hopeful reflective slow-paced

5.0

This is a series of illustrated stories that are very much in line with her first book and her blog. If you liked those, you will probably like this as well. I enjoyed it alot (yes, that's intentional, if you are a fan you already know why).

One thing needs to be said, though: a lot of sad/troubling things in Brosh's life happened after she wrote her first book. They are included in this book, partly by way of explanation, and partly (I think) because she needed them to be included. Don't expect this one to have the same ratio of humor that her first book does. Don't get me wrong: there are still some very funny bits. But the serious bits are, I think, a higher percentage of this book than they were in her first one. This is still a highly important book, and I would recommend it to everyone. Just don't go into it expecting it to be exactly like Hyperbole and a Half. (Also, there is still no alot in this book. Alas.)
